  GIRLS NIGHT OUT!
  APRIL 26, 2010

Whenever my friends and I go out for a night on the town, we always turn to BCBGeneration for cute dresses and shoes! On one recent trip to Vegas to celebrate my 21st birthday, I finally got the chance to wear my BCBGeneration dress! Its long sleeves help keep me warm on cold nights, but the form fitting silhouette and elastic bands across the back make it perfect for a night out! Not to mention, it is super comfortable and the zebra-esque print make it really stand out from the usual sea of little black dresses.

For my friend Sarah's 21st birthday she chose to pair her black ensemble with some knockout hot pink peep toe booties from BCBGeneration. She looked fabulous and told me that they were extremely comfortable too. I am so jealous we are not the same shoe size!

  BRASS KNUCKLES
  APRIL 10, 2010

Rings are definitely my favorite piece of jewelry to wear—especially big, sparkly ones that make me smile whenever I glance down at my hands. Therefore, the new double-finger ring trend has become my latest obsession. I've been rocking ones with rhinestones lately, but would love to try studs, or simple silver. I think their tough gangster vibe is what makes me love them so, and the fact that I get double the bling in one ring. This trend is definitely one that's here to stay—at least for me.

  BRAID-Y LADY
  MARCH 25, 2010

Tired of your same old hairstyle and in need of some inspiration? Then look no further than the spring 2010 runways where braids were all the rage. Usually braids make me cringe, as I recall my dorky 1st grade hair, but the styles on the spring 10 runways were anything but juvenile. Whether long, messy, and side-swept at Alexander Wang, or in a sleek, crown atop the head at Oscar de la Renta, braids offered a chic and current alternative to a ponytail or messy bun. These glam braids could not be any further from Pippi Longstocking territory and seem effortless and unexpected. While middle-parted wavy hair is still on point, the next time your look needs a simple boost, why not add a braid?

  LILAC NAILS
  MARCH 23, 2010

Nothing says spring like fresh flowers and Easter eggs, so I decided to take inspiration from both and give my nails a pop of color with a pastel shade. A soft lilac was my color of choice yesterday as I painted my nails, and while the unexpected color did take a little getting used to, I can't stop staring at them! The shade of lavender that I'mwearing is flattering to all skin tones and the light color doesn't show chips as much as the dark purples I usually favor. It's a fun way to incorporate spring color into my wardrobe and I'm already getting compliments on it!

LATEST OBSESSION: THE GRILLED CHEESE TRUCK!
  MARCH 4, 2010

It is essentially a restaurant on wheels, bringing cheesy goodness to people all around Los Angeles, and it is also, in my opinion the best invention ever! While I am a follower of many food trucks on Twitter (Calbi BBQ & The Sweets Truck are among my favorites), my own love of grilled cheese paired with the insanely delicious and creative concoctions that the Grilled Cheese Truck has to offer, has got me hooked for good. I was in heaven a couple of weeks ago as I chowed down on my Brie Melt—(double cream brie, sliced pears and honey on cranberry walnut bread, $6.75) when the truck stopped for the afternoon on UCLA's campus. This melt is definitely my favorite by far, but you can choose from a variety of additions to satisfy your cravings. I also recommend something they like to call the CAB Melt—(cheddar cheese, sliced apple and bacon, YUM), and of course their awesome tomato soup!

Check out their website www.thegrilledcheesetruck.com for their weekly location schedule and the menu. Also, you should probably follow them on Twitter (www.twitter.com/grlldcheesetruk) so you can stay updated with any changes, in case you get a craving for a cheesy sandwich and nothing else will do! They were voted the BEST food truck in Los Angeles this year for a reason!

If grilled cheese isn't your thing, but you're curious about what other food trucks are out roaming the streets, check out a really fun website— www.clustertruck.org that has a live map with multiple truck locations in different neighborhoods around Los Angeles. I guarantee it will make you hungry just looking at it! Enjoy!

  FLOWER POWER
  FEBRUARY 28, 2010

While my usual wardrobe consists of mainly black, gray, or white combinations, there is something about this spring's fashion that has me craving colorful prints! Maybe it's the sun shining or the lack of color in my closest, but floral prints in particular have seriously caught my eye. They are showing up on everything—dresses, shorts, blazers, tops, skirts. With so much variety to choose from, I know I will be able to seamlessly incorporate the flower trend into my everyday routine. There's something about the girlishness of this BCBGeneration dress that would provide an awesome contrast with a pair of black strappy wedges that I already own. Forget waiting for spring to officially start-- I can already see myself rocking these petal printed tops right now, despite the rain in Los Angeles!
